Hello there! I’m Sam Savage. A Wisconsin native and die hard Lake Geneva local with tons of freckles and a love of aged cheddar.

My Story

Lake_Me_Website-4.JPG

Born and raised just outside of Lake Geneva, WI when John Hughes movies were all the rage and leg warmers were a thing. I grew up with skinned knees and a lake basically right out my front door. It was a cool existence. My love of art started young. I often accompanied my Dad at his job in a sign shop. I was surrounded by graphic design (and designers) and got to help paint billboards as soon as I was steady enough to hold a brush. An only child until I was almost 13 I had lots of free time to fire up my imagination and get caught up in all the fantastical stories I concocted. High school led me to my first photography class and the frustrating place known as the dark room (thank the stars for digital cameras). Despite the frustration of the dark room, I found myself the calmest I could be when behind the camera. This still holds true today. I found that telling stories with my camera was the most excellent way to connect with little Sam who had that vivid imagination.

This is what I want to do for you. I want to tell your story. I want to tell it with all the authenticity and love I can. My business is a place for inclusiveness and heart all wrapped up in the weird little bow that I am. So take a look around here. When you’re ready to laugh (either with me or at me), hit up that contact page and get ready to tell your story.

a few of my favorite things

  • Donuts… fried or baked. Doesn’t matter.

  • Dogs and all things made of fluff.

  • Rap music… not all but most. Anything that gets my butt shakin’.

  • Speaking of music, my favorite band is Pink Floyd. Anything from the Waters/Gilmour era.

  • Lilac bushes. I will have many someday. I’ll have to settle for the one I have right now.

  • Frickin’ puns and Dad jokes. I can’t help myself. If it’s corny and makes me roll my eyes, then I’m all for it.

  • THE BIG LEBOWSKI! Seriously, how does it get any better than that movie?!

  • Summer!! Get away from me with your snow and cold and ice. The only thing snow is good for is having a White Christmas.
